A fifteen-year-old youth has been sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 16 years for the murder of other student Harvey Willgoose during a lunch break.

The perpetrator stabbed the deceased, who was also fifteen, into the cardiac area with a large blade at the city's educational institution in February.

"My father has been receiving medical treatment through the legal process and he just couldn't hold on any further," she stated.

Surveillance video from the occasion of the stabbing revealed the killer moving toward the deceased in the school yard soon after lunchtime.

Witnesses detailed a scene of "chaos", with those present "running, screaming everywhere" during the brutal encounter.

During the court case, the accused claimed he had not meant to kill the victim or cause him serious harm, stating he could not recall what had transpired.

The state countered that he had "intended to prove he was formidable" and "was aware exactly what he was performing".

"You were the provoker and... you acted in pain and anger at what you considered to be his disloyalty of your relationship," stated the court official during sentencing.

Aftermath

The educational institution published a message conveying that the pupil was "greatly remembered every day by the entire school community".

Police officials emphasized the catastrophic consequences of carrying weapons, commenting that a "momentary choice" can forever transform various existences.
