Previous FBI chief James the ex-FBI chief has denied the charges to providing misleading information to US legislators and impeding a legislative process.

Mr Comey's lawyer submitted the response acting as his counsel in a national courtroom in the Virginia city of Alexandria on mid-week.

Patrick Fitzgerald announced he would seek to have the legal matter thrown out for various causes including that his the accused, a detractor of Donald Trump, was being targeted.
